In 1973 and subsequent years afterwards going to the TT races in the Isle of Man. Standing at the side of the road - no health and safety in those days just a few hay bales and rope. The bikes would go whizzing past and I remember standing with my hands over my ears for almost the whole race (I was 7 years old at the time).
