The transatlantic races held every year in the mid to late 1970's, hot sunny days biking to Brands Hatch with friends.
Hundreds of motorcycles lined up, no M25 to contend with so lots of country roads and then...Barry Sheene, Raaaaaaaandy Mamola, Kenny Roberts, Ron "Rocket" Haslam riding bikes just like I used to wish I could.
Randy Mamola and his wheelies and having British racers that would on more occasions than not win the series. Or maybe that is just my memory.
Good times that will live with me for ever.
The vintage races at Brands Hatch were wonderful.
Bikes that many felt should be retired screaming round and after an accident the rider who could have been blamed for the crash stopping on the next lap to check if his mate was OK and losing the lead.
Wonderful sportsmanship probably never to be seen again.
