Being introduced to Rosemary Smith at a classic car event in Somerset.
Rosemary was a works driver for the Rootes Group in the 1960's, famously driving the Hillman Imp on the 1966 Monte Carlo Rally and winning the ladies' class on many rallies.
She was the most down to earth , friendly person you could wish to meet and being a Dubliner drank like a fish !
Rosemary Smith, driving the Hillman Imp, won three Rallies, the Internationale Tulpenrallye in 1965 and the Cork Rally in 1967 and 1969. She was disqualified from the 1966 Monte Carlo Rally
