As a 10 year old boy, stood in the Woodcote grandstand watching qualifying for the final rounds of the the 1995 BTCC, I was in love! Watching in awe as these heroic touring car drivers gave it their all round the National circuit in qualifying, I can still remember how much louder the Ford Mondeos of Andy Rouse and Paul Radisich were. That was also the weekend Ford demonstrated their Transit Supervan with the Cosworth F1 engine in it (I still have the promotion poster).
Eighteen years later and this is one of the moments which has led to me having my very own touring car today. Shame it isn't a 90's Supertourer, but it's still my very own touring car!
