Sandra Paterson: 2013 British Grand Prix

Silverstone was worth waiting 40 years for. What a weekend. What a race. It was motoring Jerusalem.

It rained on Thursday and Friday but that didn't get us down. My brother won paddock passes for Saturday morning which blew us away and life couldn't get better. We got lost in the VIP area and then Lewis won pole. I thought if I die today I'll die happy. I found I get Tourettes when I'm star struck and randomly scream facts, no swearing just random facts. We saw amazing GP 2&3 races/crashes and on Sunday, the race of the season so far.

Paul fighting from the back of the grid, Lewis on pole having the first of the tyre blowouts and the champ Vettel out with mechanical problems. Mercedes won in the end with Nico which capped it all. This weekend was the text book definition of amazing.

Aw, it was a spiritual weekend and now I don't have anything on my bucket list! Thank you to my family for making the pilgrimage with me and Silverstone 2013 for providing more than the dream.
