I went to Silverstone first time in 2012. I flew back to London on Saturday from Canada and according to the news the roads were all blocked because of the massive rain and people were asked not to drive there because of weather conditions, however me and my friend drove there Saturday night and slept one hour in a tent and drove to the circuit at 5am. We were soaked but I have never experienced so much excitement in my entire life.
Waiting for the drivers to come to the circuit and waving at us and seeing Michael Schumacher's car so up close was a dream come true. We stood up through the whole race and I always remember every second of it. It was a wonderful experience and I hope I can go back to the circuit one day seeing Lewis Hamilton finishing at P1 with his Mercedes team and make us all proud. BKK
It's 2012 and my first Grand Prix as a surprise birthday present. I got two tickets for the Becketts Grandstand and my mum really wanted to go so I took her. After an amazing day of seeing a race live for the first ever time I was in ecstasy, and after the after show with Lewis and Jenson It really was an awesome day, however I left just before the Red Bull guys were due to come on and as I hadn't eaten much that day I nearly fainted and knocked into a few people who still I do not know who they are but they sat me down and were very kind to me, and even now I don't know who these good Samaritans where so this is as good an opportunity to say sorry and thanks for the help and thanks for an amazing Grand Prix! In 2012 I travelled to Silverstone with my family to attend my first Grand Prix. My favourite memory was during qualifying when it was pouring rain and the sessions had been red flagged. Some drivers came outside of their garage to keep the crowds entertained by starting a Mexican wave sending it around the circuit. The atmosphere was amazing! Seeing all of the supportive fans with banners and flags made me even more excited for race day! Amanda
2012 British Grand Prix Last year was the first time I went to a Grand Prix, I have always wanted to go an my dream finally cam true when I got tickets for Christmas. I remember walking into the circuit and feeling an overwhelming emotion which was the happiness thing I have ever felt, I remember watching the race and feeling my heart sink when I saw Paul Di Resta crash on the first corner, I felt sympathy for him as it was his home Grand Prix, he didn't give up though he tried to carry on until his car was not raceable, this memory pushes me into doing my best as I always think that whatever situation I am put I need to try my hardest to try achieve a positive outcome. 2013 was my 2nd time at Silverstone 2012 was my 1st but this year was so exciting watching from Copse with my new high tech fancy camera. My heart leaped when Lewis got pole then when his tyre blew I had my head in my hands but never felt more pride willing him to fight back hard and that he did it was brilliant it was my best GP so far and it was the best birthday present ever.
