A Collection of Lewis Hamilton GP2 memories.

I remember watching an up and coming young racer in GP2 going into the Beckets Complex third of three cars, racing three abreast and coming out first, sending one Piquet Jnr though the advertising hoarding in the process. The young driver went on to win both GP2 races that weekend. The year was 2006, the young racer was Lewis Hamilton.

Skip forward two years and that young driver has progressed to F1, in the pouring rain he practically lapped the field and won by a huge 68 seconds, a landmark drive on the way to his world championship. Two very sweet memories! How to choose a favourite? Anna Annison

One of his greatest races to date, the second race in the GP2 championship in Turkey 2006.In the sprint race, Lewis Hamilton spun on the 1st lap, dropping him down to something like 18th place. He then overtook 16 cars to take a brilliant 2nd place. A stunning drive which showed the full potential of Lewis! Jeremy Allen

My third (and currently most recent) trip to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. It was a hot sunny Sunday in the middle of June and I had a Start / Finish Straight Grandstand seat for the day, where I could see pitstops, most of Sector 3 and (of all things) the podium, where Lewis Hamilton stood after a dominant GP2 sprint race. It was an absolute scorcher, with only this year's race topping the temperature chart during the longest heatwave in 10 years! Alex
